I could not agree with you more. Actually, just reading that makes me wanna...I don't know, find a homophobe some where and just kick their ass. I can't personally understand why it's wrong for two people to love each other because they are the same gender. I think that's one of the most fucking stupid things ever, that people are hating others for LOVE.

And now that my little rant's over... ^__^ I liked the fic. It was well written. The line between caring/protective Yuki and an OOC perfectly sweet Yuki can be a hard one to tread, but you definitely pulled it off.

Ameonna 2006-05-15 id # 19333
P.S. Do we maybe get an Eiri kicking the asses of those bastards that beat up Shuichi chapter? Hmm? *Gives pleading look* I do so love Yuki in his protective mode.

kumachan kumagorobunny@yahoo.com 2006-05-15 id # 19336
To start nice job with the sheer emotion behind this story. It is such a painful subject and used it to draw out some really good emotional writing. I think you did an excellant job conveying each characters' feelings. Especially where you asked the question about who this had really hurt.
On another note...This fic and the ensuing rant expressed a lot of the feelings I had after watching Brokeback Mountain. I personally will never understand why if someone loves another person it matters what gender they are. Love is hard enough with out putting more obstacles in the way.
Lastly...The world is full of people that I will never understand...How straight people can hate gay people and pass judgement...One of the many mysteries of life to me. All I can venture to guess is that it is out of fear. People are always afraid of what they don't understand. Anyway, Your writing is empathetic, emotionally charged and thought provoking. Keep asking those questions.

This fic was absolutely beautiful. It made me tear up. >

Regina 2006-05-16 id # 19354
I'm sorry. My review was cut off. Craaaap. XD Here is what the rest of it said:
Your fic was a touching read. There definitely needs to be more awareness in the world. I am a firm believer of gay and lesbian rights, so homophobes are the absolute most despised people I know. Ugh. v__v Don't make me go there. It'd be a long rant. Heh...
Thank you for sharing such a piece. Also, you write beautiful prose. :) Your style is intelligent and enjoyable. Please keep up the great work!

wow. amazingly well written. truly made my heart wrench and ache. i can relate exactly to the reason why you wrote this. there was this guy once who started preaching to me about how your not a true christian if you accept homosexual couples. it's got me very angry. Because love isn't something you could control. You can't choose who you want to fall in love with. and if you fall in love with someone of the same gender then so be it. Love them as much as you want because you might never get a chance at that happiness. But some people just don't see it that way..

Kaho 2006-05-16 id # 19362
Damn straight. Love is not defined by gender, but how you interpret it. Today, the public is slowly reforming and accepting gays. I mean, you can't say you have never met a gay person in your life. Of course, there are some Christian radicals who still deny gay people from being Saved, but they are slowly diminishing with the last generation. Oh yes, and a couple of rednecks as well.
If you are so pissed off, you should watch one of the Degrassi episodes on The N. There was one where a gay student was setting a safe sex program at school and some Christian radicals were trying to tear it down because it squashes their belief of sex after marriage and then the leader turns it into a anti-gay debate. And the gay student totally nailed him! You should see it!

This was a great fanfic. thank you. I wish more people would read this and then maybe more people would open their minds. I have friends who are kind of homophobic and their main argument is: I can ACCEPT it, I can accept that they were born that way and that it isn't their fault, but I mean, it's not NORMAL!" Well, excuse me but how different is homosexual love from heterosexual? It's the same! I mean, it's just ridiculous!

teh_otaku mangamania91@yahoo.com 2006-05-18 id # 19439
i couldn't agree with you more, i hate homophobes, they think they're so much better than everyone else, and some of my best friends got hurt b/c of them, and it seriously pisses me off

Your story is touching. It is really sad that people today are so incredibly narrow-minded. I agree with you completely.

mickayla mickayladuck@yahoo.com 2006-08-17 id # 25511
you FUCKING ASSHOLL HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT *deep inside yuki knows that tere love is wrong* FUCK YOU!!!! ):(

Ugh, people like that make me fucking sick. why do they make all the effort to COME to the website, LOOK for your story that has been off the latest list for a while, and then make a horrible review? I mean, since they made all that effort to find it, they could atleast put a little effort in their insult. Oh nooosss! You've upside-down-smilied me to death!

Pft, what a loser.

I was so happy that you were writing again though (!!!!), but alas, it was not to be.

Headcase the flamer flamer 2006-08-22 id # 25658
Wow, LazyFatKit! Mickayla basically proves your whole story has validation! She has also opened herself to a lot of flaming by your fans. Someone should be kind and buy the poor child a dictionary for spelling and a thesaurus to create better insults?

I enjoyed Protective. It is good to see Eiri's protective side, like when he nearly... okay, time to stop reminiscing. I enjoyed the story.

duck-chan ooxbabiiexoo@yahoo.com 2006-08-22 id # 25659
First this is to mickayla..Oh yea i can totally see that yuki thinks that their love you wrong,
you know with him wanting to protect shuichi at any cost, saying that he will be shuichi's lover,
letting shuichi live with him, etc. oh yea that idea of yuki thinkin their love is wrong is sooo right...not
i don't even get why you would say that. im a little confused by the way, were you saying that to this
fanfict or the the whole gravitation series, because if that comment was to gravitation as a whole,
why do you think the graviation was made to show ppl that love can never be between gays??..
...i think you're really slow...but anyways your comment shows how people are ignorant to things they don't understand...
and another question.... why are you saying that gay love is wrong WHEN YOUR COMMENTING ON AN ANIME THAT IS ABOUT LOVE
BETWEEN TWO MEN!?...why are you even on this type of website? you really need to take your ignorant comments somewhere else.

ok now for the review:

I thought this was written beautifully. I love how you show that yuki will stand by shuichi.
i hope you write more fanfics like this...it might show ppl that they shouldn't judge love.
i would really like yuki to beat some ppl up * evil laugh *

....and one final thing
i had a friend died because he was gay.. he was beaten and raped and later that night killed
i don't take what mickayla said lightly...( that's why i that rant was so long )
people should not judge what over people do....
being gay, lesbian, bi, transgender, etc. is not wrong in anyway shape or form
and if ppl would realize that then maybe me and other ppl wouldn't have to mourn loss of
someone who only wanted to love the person he/she loved freely...

duck-chan

p.s
sry for the long comment, but i get really worked up when ppl judge others

duck-chan 2006-08-22 id # 25660
sry for the grammer mistakes but im really pissed for some reason
about what mickayla said...( i was typing really fast )

wow... i think a lot of people are misundering your point, because they aren't reading this thoroughly and are ignoring your author's notes... they seem to think that you're gay bashing and underminding yuki and shuichi's relationship, when in actuality, you're BASHING gay bashing and showing how strong yuki and shuichi's love really is. eiri is definately a little bit of a self-loather in my opinion. he hates that he loves men. yoshiki even says whenever she's masquerading as kitazawa that 'this whole self-loathing homo thing is soooo last year'. i read this story a while ago and really enjoyed it, but for some reason, i didn't review, so i am now. i really enjoyed this story and i couldn't agree more with the point you're making, since i'm a lesbian, my mom's a lesbian, my sister's bi and one of my best friends is gay. gay bashing is not a mystery to me, as you can imagine. i myself have written a story about gay bashing and i'm currently looking to get it published. i'm not a strong believer in 'gay' or 'lesbian' rights, because i don't believe i need special rights just because i like people of the same sex. what i do believe in is equal rights, like the right to get married. people judge others on things like their sexual orientation, things that are, in the long run, such a small part of a person, and they hate them because of one little detail that they can't help. i'd like to thank you for writing this and showing what a terrible thing gay bashing really is. if you're interested, i'm going to leave the link to my own gay bashing story and feel free to tell me what you think: http://www.fictionpress.com/read.php?storyid=2201152

thanks so much

It seems to me that this flamers post hasbeen a little misunderstood.

How could you say that? "deep inside yuki knew that their relationship was wrong"...

SHE's insulted because you made yuki admit that his thing with shuichi is bad and she's one of those die hard fans.

Seem pretty straight forward to me. but did this mikayla somehow fail to miss the sappy love thoughts that yuki was feeling?

I find her statements and most of the interpretations pretty laughable for the mere fact that they are the most interesting opinions I have seen all week.

Someone feel free to contradict me, I'm curious to see where this is going...

I loved how u portrayed Yuki's character. Oh yea i thought ur authors note was hilarious!!! LMAO

ANKuma 2006-08-23 id # 25698
hey, i just wanted to say 'thanks' for the review. i didn't think you'd actually read it, lol. i'm glad that you felt it was worthy to be 'wowed out' over. ^_^

as far as mickayla (or however the name is spelled) is concerned, i agree with dylan that they're probably a diehard eiri/shuichi fan who simply missed the whole point of your story by not reading it throughly and not understanding that eiri really is like that in the manga. it's still not a excuse to cuss you out or for the usage of poor grammar, though.

anyways, just wanted to say thanks! this story is going to be added to my recs since i like it so much! ja!

I haven't read the bad reviews yet but I do share your opinion about being annoyed that most people cannot seem to just "live and let live". I think if that phrase were to be adopted that there would be a whole lot less to worry about in this world. And on the topic of relationships, same gender or otherwise, I am of the opinion that when you find someone you care about and who is someone you want to make happy: It should not matter what gender the person is, just be willing to accept the factors involved. By factors I mean that you can't have kids, so on and so forth.
Great work and thanks for this fic

EmiChan2 2006-10-25 id # 27894
I hear you, sister. =] Being bisexual, I deal with a lot of that crap, though I'm lucky enough to have never been beaten because I like girls as well as boys. I still think you're totally right and I agree with you, and the story was pretty good too. =3

Tasha 2006-11-01 id # 28153
Eh I got the impression Yuki was proclaiming that 'society in general thought gays were wrong' rather than him personally (in retaliation to 'that' review).
Too true and ripe with angst-Yuki really hits the button. Well done point taken!

Mei Zamiel forgotten-priestess-kikyo@hotmail.com 2006-12-08 id # 29161
I HATE YOU! YOU'RE FIC MADE ME CRY FROM THE ABSOLUTE SWEETNESS OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although, I know how Shu-Chan feels about wanting to protect his lover. When a love is scorned by society don't we all rise to the protection of the one we love? I'll be readin' whatever other fics you got, you kin bet yer bottom dollar.

It's nice to know that the anime can bring such powerful views in us. I couldn't agree with you more. I despise anyone who refuse to open up their minds regarding this matter. I remember reading a fic in Saiyuki once and the author wrote there that it's the person you fall in love with, not the gender. It's nice to know that many of us are open with this, and your story is a manifestation of our views. Ahh.. Makes me wanna kick some homophobe..
