About	Well hello. It's fair to say that Gravitation hooked me pretty quickly. It's lovely to find such a character driven story - when all the characters are so interesting, you can forgive some occasionally rather dodgey plotting (especially in the manga...) The again, perhaps it's the unexplained areas of the plot that inspires me to write fanfiction - something I haven't done since my teenage Star Trek days, many years ago. I have to confess to being a real conservative when it comes to canon, though. I hate all non-canon pairings and while I love slash, not everyone out there is potentially gay! I particularly hate the slight tendency I've noticed towards misogyny - Gravitation has great female characters but some fans seem to hate them just for existing. (I've noticed a Mary Sue gets torn to shreds, but the male equivalent, paired to either Eiri or Shu, gets a far warmer reception...) And I do get annoyed when people go against the canon as far as to suggest that it's "accepted" that Tohma is in love with Eiri or Hiro in love with Shuichi - or K or Suguru for that matter! Read the manga, guys! But then again, to each their own... I do try to stick as closely to the plot as I can; I freely admit the anime is my favourite, but let's face it, many of the best scenes appeared first in the manga and were rather expertly refined in the animated version! At any rate, I like to consult both when writing my stories! If I can do it, I would like to one day write something for each Gravitaton character. (I love to give even minor characters a voice...) We'll see!
